Hiii, hello! It’s me!
I wanted to start something new that I’ve been wanting to do for awhile - which is share my knowledge. There’s so many things that I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN (!!!) 5 years ago when I started my photography business. Lately I’ve been getting lots of questions about my gear & just photography tips in general, so here I am to teach you what I know!
And to piggyback off of that - I’m also going to be sharing all things mama, also, because you already know I’m passionate about that, too!!
But anyyyyyways, let’s get to the point!
I’m going to be linking all of my gear & for some of these items are affiliate links, and I may get compensation for them. So if you DO use those links, you are supporting me, so THANK YOU !
First things first - my camera bag is a Vinta Supply Co. bag! I’ve had this bag for a couple of years now, and it was actually gifted to me by one of my close friends and I really love it! I’ve been pretty rough with it and it’s held up well. It’s backpack style which is my fave and it has lots of storage space - I haven’t felt the need to get a bigger bag at all.

Now as far as gear goes, my Canon 6D is my trusty sidekick. It’s been with me for almost 3 years and I LOVE it.

I have 2 main lenses that I shoot with. A Canon 50mm 1.4 (which I think is a staple lens!) & then a Sigma 24-70mm which often stays on my camera. The 24-70mm offers wider shots which I love to use to get an artsy feel & then of course the 50mm is a prime lens that is amazing for some creamy bokeh! The 50mm is a great starter lens because it’s reliable & relatively inexpensive.

I am mostly a natural light photographer, but when I do need a flash for a reception I use a Canon Speedlite 430ex III. It’s not the best one around but it’s also not the worst! Just bring lots of extra batteries when you’re using it! Haha. If you don’t think you’ll need a flash too often - you can settle for a Neewer Flash Speedlite, which was my first flash I purchased. It gets the job done!

I also like to keep my laptop in my bag when I’m traveling. The one that I have fits perfectly in this bag and has been really nice to take on the go. And it’s also rose gold so, like, super cute.
With the Macbook, there isn’t a place to insert an SD card, so you will need a separate card reader. Nothing fancy! Gets the job done.

Which takes me to my memory cards! The memory cards you choose are IMPORTANT. I have a lot to say about them - but I’ll save that for another day! haha. These are the ones I use!

I tend to keep A LOT of cards with me so to stay organized I keep them in one of these holders. Those little plastic cases they come in just get lost. This case is SO CHEAP.

Last but not least - something that I keep in my bag that I don’t always use - but it can come in handy, is MACRO FILTERS. If the only time you need a macro lens is for ring shots - you don’t have to splurge on a big fancy lens. You can get these filters and put them right onto your lens. I always use my 50mm with these! They’re literally only $15.00. Worth it.

That’s it for now! This gear has taken me through the past couple of years and I’m happy with it. I plan on adding more this year, and will definitely update this post when I get some new gear! I hope this was helpful!!
